Spending time in the woods with no particular purpose, intention, or expectation other than to observe the happenings there is a deeply restorative and satisfying activity. When close to Nature, we are closer to the divine, regardless of belief or association. My husband spends such time often, and dressed in camouflage clothing, he seemed to be truly one with Nature. I imagined the stained glass glow, of course, but I could feel the presence of something larger than either of us.
