This is an attempt to marry the figure with the abstract surround. I also hoped to present white shapes as positive rather than negatives by opening shapes in unusual places. The pose is one that was a particular challenge, taken from a young model in a workshop. The Yupo painting surface allowed wonderful textural effects enhanced by Transparent Watercolor and Opaque Gouache.
