Any scuba divers out there? There are always things you hope to see on a dive such as sea turtles, colorful fish, perhaps a shark. But how about the elusive seahorse? They are out there but are hard to spot. This still life is my reflection on searching for a seahorse. I enjoyed the challenge of conveying the various textures of wood, canvas, brass, and glass bottles found on the sea floor. I hope that by including a crystal seahorse it helps convey my story in this still life painting.
