Windows Down is a memory of a moment of joy amidst chaos. We were on our way to gather with family and very close friends in one of the final months in the life of my beloved dad. Clouded with so many emotions, I looked in the backseat and found my son, then 7, completely present in a moment of wind-in-his-face, hair-flying bliss. Sometimes kids are the best reminders of what is important--here, and now, and the people we love.
