"Adobe Morning Shadows" is a plein air watercolor done at California's Sonoma Historic Park, a collection of adobe buildings from the 1830's, when California was a part of Mexico. By painting early in the morning, the nearby outbuildings cast shadows and provided a dynamic, abstract composition.
