I drove out searching for a painting subject and passed this barn which seemed completely uninteresting but when I turned around to drive in the opposite direction it jumped right out at me. I think I was drawn in by the shapes of the bright metal roof in combination with the tree shapes surrounding it along with the vividly contrasting colors. I painted most of it from life and completed it back at home.
