The 12th Century Cathedral of Parma, stripped largely of it's marble skin, still presents an impressive façade to the Piazza del Duomo.
Experiencing the magnificent interior of the cathedral (including the amazing Coreggio illusionist fresco in the dome) is heightened by traveling a dark passage through a "side" door cloaked in a velvet curtain before turning right and entering the nave. Parma, Italy
Painted from a watercolor sketch and photograph taken during a visit to Northern Italy.
