Magnolias are so fleeting in Vancouver. Our rain tends to mess with their existence. The flowers present in many shapes and shadows and their leaves are intense and leather-like; demanding greens from sparkling white to deepest dark. This painting also features a granulating background for dramatic effect. Painted on heavy hot press Fabriano Artistico paper using artist quality watercolors.
