While traveling in South America, I saw a beautiful Andean sparrow perched among quinoa plants. I abstracted my image when I composed my painting to add interest and contrast. Areas of the quinoa plant are subtly raised with gesso. The title reflects my feelings when I saw this sparrow among the giant plant.
