This painting, Rural Charm, is an acrylic, where I purposely paint the wrong color, and then put another layer over it, flick it with water and then uncover that "wrong color" underneath. Then I develop the design, weaving the viewer to explore different areas of the painting. I love this process, and it uncovers lots of surprises. I grew up on a ranch in Montana, so I'm very fond of rural settings.
