Western Larch conifer trees grow in Northern Idaho. In the Fall their needles turn to bright yellow before they fall off until Spring brings on a new growth. I am new to the inland Northwest and am fascinated by the cycle of the Western Larch. This painting is created from my imagination and is an ode to the beautiful reflections/refractions we can see inside a raindrop. I had the pleasure of watching the threes change from green to bright yellow and wanted to showcase the uniqueness of Mother Nature at work.
