With petals flying back this lily plunges downward, reaching out to spread its beauty to all who pass by. The dark background creates additional drama. The original watercolor painting is a large 22.5 x 30" on 300# Arches cold press. The flower was captured near the mansion of Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, WA, just down the road from where I live. It is part of a show titled "From Darkness Blooms".
