This was my first painting exploring a surrealist theme. I double majored in college with a degree in Art and Music. I went on and received my Masters in Applied Voice and spent the next 35 years of my life as a classical solo singer and voice teacher. When covid hit and my voice also started to age, teaching singing one on one was difficult, I retired. I went back to my earlier "roots" and decided to tackle art again. I had never worked in the transparent watercolor medium so I started in and loved it. This painting is a tribute to my life and "my eye" as an artist. The "daisy" was from my first watercolor painting and I "pollenated" from this into many more and a love of painting again and finding myself in another means of expression.
