14x22 painting using Watercolor on 300 lb. Fabriano. I've streamed international cycling events for 8 years. The2020 Tour de France didn't disappoint the fans. Each day the pace was faster than expected and the drama was high. This painting spoke to me because of the shadows and it captured the movement of the riders on the corner on the outskirts of town. These 6 cyclists were in the breakaway until 25 miles to the finish.. This painting is in part a tribute to Perez/s effort and sacrifice leaving the race with a broken collarbone after achieving the Polka Dot Jersey
