My name is Mia Angelita Bautista and I was born and raised in Wapato, Washington. I was introduced to art at the age of 4. My dad himself is an artist (at least in my eyes), and my mother is one of the most imaginative people I have ever come to know. Their natural abilities definitely inspired me to want to seek out and find my own creative calling. I was often lost in my own little world as a child and art was definitely the perfect outlook and escape for this. From this point on, art was my biggest fascination and passion. During the pandemic, I decided to start advertising my artwork to people of my community. Their immense support allowed me to really grow my skills and confidence. As the whole world was shut down at this time, I had nothing but time on my hands. I spend tireless hours trying to actualize what art meant to me. As of now, I am actively pursuing my love for art. I am working towards receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Visual arts from Heritage University. With this, I plan on going into the field of art education while still forever continuing to expand on my own artistic vision and horizons.
