Join us as Yong Hong Zhong demonstrates his beautiful world of landscapes painted seemingly effortlessly. His paintings are fresh and alive with the crisp, practiced brushwork of a certain master.

Born in Canton, China , he immigrated to the United States when he was twelve years old.  Always with a strong interest in drawing, he attended La Guardia High School, a prestigious school for music and arts in New York City, followed by the Pratt Institute. While at Pratt, he was selected by Disney Animation Studios for an internship. This began his many years working as an animator and storyboard artist on many featured films. These experiences influence the fine artist he is today.

The early California impressionists are the greatest influence on his work. His work ranges from landscape to portrait to still life.
Oregon’s beautiful landscapes and family oriented communities brought him to the northwest. He resides in Portland, OR with his wife and two sons.
