“Mountain Road” depicts the meandering path up a mountain in the vibrant autumn. I used abstract brush strokes to convey the feeling of the hike. This theoretical journey, while full of twists and turns, is not a confusing one. It is simply a scenic route which takes the traveler through a deliberate tour of natural beauty. These themes might remind the audience to appreciate the slower routes of life. This piece was painted with watercolor and ink on rice paper. With good control of the brush strokes and watercolor, I successfully get the rice paper to diffuse the layers of colors and energy delightfully.
