Welcome, Dale Laitinen, to January’s AZR event!

Value is one of the five basic design elements when one is creating a 2-dimensional
artwork. It defines shapes, light, shadow, and much more. A painting simply cannot find success
without attention to values, and Dale will be with us to help us understand how that happens and
how those whose work will be reviewed might improve their chances for success.
Dale has provided brief preliminary reading and two photos from which to paint and submit your
work for critiquing (members only).
