As we close out the successful “Principles of Design” series, Liana will bring all that has been covered over the last months into the conversation. She will review paintings in a comprehensive way, considering the interplay and balance of all the design principles within the painting and what might be adjusted for greater success. Painting submissions are due by May 23, 2024.

Liana paints in acrylics, oils and mixed media. The figure is her first love and will always be the subject she is pulled toward. Her intense connection to her subject matter is apparent, including her explorations in abstraction. Deservedly, she has acquired the hallmarks of success such as numerous awards, accolades as an instructor, having her art acquired by numerous collectors, and is the owner of “Seattle Arts Umbrella” Art Center.
