Life in Minnesota requires early morning shoveling and brushing off cars after a heavy snow. Typically on these mornings you hear several snowblowers running, but on this day it was wonderfully silent. The world is even more quiet when covered under a heavy blanket of fresh snow, and despite the cold air I just stood and enjoyed the moment before getting to work. The burned out bulb in the street lamp in front of our house was a minor annoyance for weeks, but on this occasion I was thankful to not have its glare.
