Part of a series of paintings, begun in 2016, of Seattle's iconic Gasworks Park. Gasworks was built on the site of the old Seattle Gasworks, located on the north end of Lake Union. Looking south are the tall buildings of downtown Seattle. I have been--and continue to be--fascinated with the park and its views and continue to paint it. There are over 25 paintings in this series. "Downtown from Gasworks Park" captures the view of South Lake Union on a Seattle winter day, with parts of the buildings lost amid low-hanging clouds.
