This was a very challenging painting with all those bubbles, and I frequently became lost. Therefore I had to paint it section-by-section. I loved the contrast of the very dark water against the yellow leaves, red rocks and the white bubbles. As the water in this creek danced and bounced among the rocks, the turbulence formed tiny bubbles. That is why I call this "Effervescence."
