The cold light of winter is what attracted me to this scene. Studying this fenceline conjured up ideas of how farm life changes from one season to the next, and the difficulty of it all. The rich colors of the old rusted farm equipment prompted me to consider if this equipment was put away for the season or if this was perhaps its final resting place. I love the story of this scene. It offers an opportunity to consider the life of this equipment, the life of the farm, and the life of the farmer who built this fenceline and created these stories.
