The Silver Dollar Tavern is a family owned and run bar in downtown Madison operating since 1933 and featuring bar shuffleboard, the proper amount of dimness, reasonable drink prices, no nonsense service and the occasional dancing on the table (so I’ve heard.) It was forced to close recently because of redevelopment of the building. I visited there in their last week to get some photos (and maybe I had a drink.)
