“Looming” is inspired by the many cross-country road trips I have taken--when there have been major cloud formations and rainstorms looming above and at a distance. I have often wondered in seeing such dramatic skies, if I painted it—would anyone believe it? But over and over the clouds—no matter the geography —can burst forth with color and drama. Sort of like life.
