The East Banqueting House is the largest remaining portion of the Camden House Estate. The estate was built in the 17th Century and mostly burned to the ground less than 40 years later during the English Civil War. I was taken with this view of the ruins from the church yard of St James as it juxtaposed the centuries of human remains in the foreground with the architectural remnants of the once great estate.
