While on a family vacation in Rehoboth beach, my daughter and I spent several afternoons in the pool. She modeled for reference photos by valiantly springing out of the water and simultaneously flinging her head back. This image captures a split second in time and exhibits a dominance of blue on the otherwise colorless liquid. The blue liner of the pool caused the water in the pool to look unnaturally, vibrantly blue in contrast to the overcast gray day tinting the splash of water a more subtle gray. No one was harmed in the photography or creation of this painting.
