Frozen ----My feelings about growing up in Ohio and feeling the brutal cold of winter, and yet there was a peaceful stillness in the snow banks and wonderful light I remember as a child. I tried to capture those feelings using warm lavender colors against the cooler greens. Technically I was experimenting with watercolor used as a more e opaque medium to push its limits and also mine as a painter. I love discovering a new way to paint every time I create a scene. This painting was done totally from imagination.
