Hawaiian green turtle are a common sight in the islands. The grace with which they "fly" over the ocean floor and slow calm aod their movement always bring a sense of piece to me and I wanted to convey this emotion to the viewer of this piece. The turtle is swimming over the healthy and colourful coral reef sparkling different corals and animals. The piece was done in multi watercolour pouring technique with details added later with fine brush which results in intricate rainbow of light effects in the background and on the turtle shell.
