Medium: Watercolor

This hollyhock was found outside a venue where I was taking a watercolor class. I loved the bright white and soft yellow glow from the center. I painted it on watercolor canvas board which gave a lot of texture to the background. It is painted with a combination of Qor and Daniel Smith Watercolor pigments. It is finished with a cold wax medium to preserve the painting without the need for glass or plexiglass pane in the frame.
