The snowstorm that we had on Vashon a couple of years ago was so beautiful, that I had to get out of the house and experience its magic. I walked down this driveway alone feeling the snow on my face and seeing just the whiteness and darkness of the land and sky - so little color. I tried to capture that image in my painting so the viewer would sense the beauty of it all that day and imagine the snow coming down on them too.
