The unpredictable interaction between water and pigments, and how both are absorbed by paper is one of the most captivating aspect of my voyage in painting with watercolors. Sometimes I start with one idea and end up with something completely different. That's the case with this image which started as an horizontal abstraction and ended up with a whimsical, vertical idea.
