Skies are such a delight to paint and their changing moods with seasons throw quite a challenge to artists. As I drove past this spot I couldn't help notice the approaching clouds and I pulled in to make a quick sketch. I later finished this piece in my studio and I believe I could capture the mood and atmosphere to a great extent.
